Agriculture engineering department project

During the year 1954, the Agriculture Department initiated a Project for “Reclamation and Development of Land and Provision of Machinery for augmenting irrigation water supplies in N.W.F.P”. This project subsequently led to the creation of Agricultural Engineering Organization initially as part of the Agricultural Extension activities and later on in 1974 as an independent Department with its own head, designated as Director, Agricultural Engineering. The department was however reduced to the status of Cell during restructuring process of 2000-01 and regained its departmental status in 2007-08.
In our Agriculture Engineering Department Project project, we installed various pumps of various capacities i.e. 10HP, 20HP, 25HP and 40HP powered by 40 to 135 panel Talesun Poly-crystalline grids. 310W solar grids rigs provide flow from 440,000 LPD to 700,000 LPD with a head of 164ft to 656ft. The inverters that we installed were from 11kW to 37kW. The pumps are of the brands Larens. 34 units with the above given specifications have been installed in the Hyderabad and Karachi region.
